World WellBeing Week | Countdown Printable!

World WellBeing Week is a great time to think about all the ways in which we can promote wellness in our own families, from the emotional to the physical and everything in between. Each day this week, the team at Banjo HQ are focussing on a wellbeing theme which might be helpful for you and your little ones.

Today we’re thinking about how important it is to have things to look forward to and how much this can affect your mental health. Today we are also celebrating National Leon Day as six months today it will be Christmas day. Leon is (Noel spelled backwards!) is a day people begin planning their homemade gifts and decorations for Christmas! Now, you may be thinking that you can’t even BEGIN to think about Christmas yet so, we wanted to share with you our printable countdown sheet! Whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah, Pancha Ganapati, Diwali or even just a countdown to when you get to see your friend, this countdown will make you and your child get even more excited! All you have to do is cut round the numbers and stick down how many days are left until your amazing event!

If you can’t think of anything specific to look forward to, why not talk to your little one and see what they are excited about? Or, have a look at our list below to give you some ideas:

Having something to look forward to can MASSIVELY help with a feeling of wellbeing and you’ll probably be surprised at what lovely, simple things your child is looking forward to!  You could even write their anticipated events down and pop them in a jar too to read after they happen. This is a great way to revisit good times and to hear all about their emotions and how they were feeling at the time, which will really help with their mental health.
